Maine Team Camp
Ft. Kent, July 6-10, 2011
The Maine Team camp skiers were eager to start dry land training at the 10th Mountain this past week. Skiers at this camp refreshed their skating technique, tested their uphill running abilities, and completed general and ski specific strength workouts. Athletes worked with Maine Winter sports coaches, college coaches, and high school coaches at this camp. Skiers also attended daily classroom sessions. Classroom sessions focused goal setting, training principles and guidelines, and racing experiences and opportunities from the Maine Winter Sports Olympic development athletes. They also were able to receive valuable advice and training philosophy from guest speaker and former US Olympic coach Richard Taylor.
